Unlucky For Some
NOV 29
This was the first time that the team have entered the Open Cup and the first competitive eleven a side match. Thinking we might be beaten by the weather the kick off had to be delayed whilst a small amount of surface water was cleared from the pitch.
Thanks to Joe the ref and the opposition manager who allowed the game to go ahead. Starting with Dyer in goal, Youngs, Johnson, Seaber (Capt) and Cantrell at the back, T Smith, Sinclair, Western, and Wright across the midfield with Willett and Taylor up front. The team soon got into their stride but still managed the usual early scare when Needham were through on goal only to be saved by Dyer. This woke up the Framlingham team who then passed magnificently, moved brilliantly and tackled superbly and scored the first goal after 4 minutes.
The goals then went in regularly to give a 9 - 0 lead at half time.
Subs Waddell, Poacher, Merry, Panich and Skeggs all played a big part in the second half going uphill. Whilst the Framlingham team were reduced to only four goals in the second half there were no shortage of shots on goal.

Although Sinclair did not score he played a fantastic game in the middle aided by Tommy Smith on the left who played an inspired game and Wright who scored goals and run the Needham defence ragged but the man of the match went to Willett for his movement, his goals and his hunger for the game.
Manager Robbie Abraham said "This was an awesome display against a team that reached the semi finals in this competition last season. We now need to keep our feet on the ground as there is always room for improvement."
