A Happy New Year to you all! Welcome to Framlingham at the start of 2012.

We very much hope the new year will signal an upturn in our fortunes, for it must be said that the first half of the season has seen almost everything go awry, and we find ourselves just one place and one point off the bottom of the Senior Division. It's now going to be a long and hard struggle to climb the table in the weeks ahead, but climb we must, maybe hopefully starting today.

We played just one match over the entire Christmas and New Year period, against AFC Crowley in the Touchline Sports Cup (the League Cup). Fielding a somewhat mixed side we managed to make progress over our opponents from Division Two via penalties at the end of a 1 - 1 draw (AET). AFC had played well, but some luck finally came our way in the shoot-out. Well done to all the Fram team who played on this game.

This afternoon we warmly welcome Old Newton United, their officers, players and supporters, to Badingham Road for his Senior Division fixture. Our visitors sit just two places above Fram and all matches have now become very important to both clubs. We were successful at Old Newton in mid-November but they have picked up well since that occasion, and we shall need to be on our best form to get the result today. However, I trust we shall all enjoy the game, whatever the outcome.
