It appears even my cautious optimism of two weeks ago, when I considered things were looking brighter, proved a little over the top as we have since managed to lose the next couple of games.

We went down to Leiston St Margarets (LSM) in rather unfortunate circumstances, for it was felt that when the Ref signalled full time, just a minute after LSM scored what proved to be the winner, there were still 6 minutes remaining on the clock! while there is of course no guarantee we would have earned anything from those missing minutes, it would have been good to have had the chance.

Last week's defeat at Achilles, going down 5-2, was hard to take. OK, Achilles were overall the better team, but questionable decisions allied to questionable goals certainly didn't help our cause. Therefore we now once again find ourselves near the bottom of the table, and upturns in both our form and fortune are required to make life a little easier and achieve this season's ambition of finishing in the top half. I still remain confident things will improve before long to achieve this.

The Reserves have upstaged the First X1 with their recent results, by gaining a point from the 1-1 draw at Leiston St Margarets, following this with a 3-1 victory over thier Achilles counterparts in the League Cup. This continues their very good recovery since the enforced call-off of the Trimley match.

Today, here at Badingham Road, we offer a warm welcome to opponents Woodbridge Athletic, who presently sit top of the division table, and consequently Framlingham face a tough task to gain any reward from the encounter, but, whatever the outcome, I trust we shall all enjoy the game.
