- Match Report
Fram B were looking to get off to a better start than the A’s when they were caught napping and conceded one of the fastest goals we have seen for some time – 41 seconds! Lessons learnt no doubt, and things certainly improved thereafter.
The B’s began to play some nice football, and certainly tried to pass the ball around. Lewis was marshalling things in defence, and his efforts were rewarded when he cored a goal from the corner. 1-1 on 6 minutes.
Fram nearly scored another when Lewis took a good corner which Zach hit well only to see his shot saved, and the game was really coming alive. In the 15’ minute Whitton took the lead again, but Fram fought back and Lucas was unlucky to see his lob go just wide.
Once more however the home side got a goal deep into injury time when a speculative shot from the touchline cleared Felix in the 22 minute to give the home side a 3-1 lead at the interval.
The boys came out for the second half looking positive, and despite some evident problems in seeing their opposition in green and white as well as a lot of substitutions which gave all the boys some pitch time, a second Fram goal always looked on.
In the end it was the ever lively Sam who netted with a very well taken shot from a good through ball from Zach to give Fram hope of snatching a draw. In the end it was not to be, and the score remained at 3-2.
